Got her on ft rats! :d
So I got Kalli some FT rats...Friday I believe it was, and fed her one today.
I heated it up after it thawed(let it thaw at room temp while I was at school) and she wouldn't take it... DX She kept looking interested, tried to strike it and missed... So I heat it up again, trying to get it's head up to 100*F, she strikes, hits it, and lets go. Then I accidentally drop it and she gets scared of it. DX
Finally I heated it up once more under my lizard's heat lamp again, and just put her hide back on her and put the rat in front of her. She looked a little more interested in it, so I wiggled it with my tongs and FINALLY she strikes it and eats it!

I think it may have been a bit too big(oops) because it took her forever to swallow it, and it looked rather uncomfortable.... But she got it down and it sure left a lump in her(nothing too huge, but a good sized lump) but I believe it was within width range, based on the size of its hips.
But if she keeps it up, then she should be getting bigger real fast! She already kept getting bigger with each mouse she ate! I may switch to feeding her every 7 days though instead of 5... not sure...
I'm just happy she took it(nearly) first try!

Edit: there's no way to change the thread name is there? DX
Because the :d is supposed to be a :D

Congrats! It's always nice when they finally switch to f/t.

As for the size of the rat, it's better to feed a rat that is slightly big, then too small. You want a noticeable lump in the snake. It took me awhile to realize that, I always worried the rats were too big when there was a decent sized lump in the snake.

Congratz I'm working on switching my snake over now. It'll be nice to be able to order food in bulk.
