To Keep PREGO Female in tub or SEPARATE?
What do you guys do? Leave in the tub or separate into a different tub or cage?

I've seen successful breeders do either. I'm leaving her with the group. More than one female will nurse and warm the babies so mom can have a break.

Okay so I have her by herself with one male! I've just started breeding rats and dont have much..I have 1 other group but they are younger and smaller than this male and female! Would it still be okay to keep her in their?

I lose a pink every now and then but if you keep them together all the time they will help each other. I do 1.2

I separate my females and I have a 100% survival rate for the most part. If she gives birth to 18 pinkies then 18 pinkies live to be weaned every single time. Thats just me. Both ways work.

$$$ or NOT...but what do your setups look like? No racks!
Well I guess it comes down to having enough room to separate them and having the money to buy separate bins/tubs for the pregnant females!

Can anyone post some pics of there setups other than rat racks! I have those...if not I saw a post that had something similar so I can take a look their!

    Thanks!
