Success!
I have just successfully assist fed for the first time! I'm really excited :D
A little pastel girl has been on a hunger strike since I picked her up from from a show a while back.
Normally I would leave my snakes be, but her weight was rapidly dropping and her skin is starting to get really saggy.... She felt almost hallow...
So, after watching a few youtube vids on how to assist feed and a couple struggling attempts of the little girl spitting the rat pink out, she finally downed the rat.
It's such a relief! It's like a huge weight has been lifted the moment she finally ate that rat. I was getting extremely worried. All of my other snakes are perfect eaters, so this was an experience for me.
Thank goodness for the internet. It has so many good resources to get help. :)
Thanks for reading. I'm just so happy I had to share!

Congrats!
Hopefully she will eat on her own. My butter just started eating on her own after 8 months of assist feeding. :please: Boy was I happy when she strike at her first rat pup. LOL Now she's eating on her own consistently every week. Good luck!! Don't give up!!

Thanks all!
Yeah, it was a huge relief! The little girl wasn't looking so hot last weekend, so I felt like assist feeding was the best option.
Hopefully she'll make a strike this weekend.

update: Great news! The little pastel girl hasn't eaten until today. It has been almost a month since I assist fed her. She finally made a strike for the first time since I've had her! :D
Prior to today, she refused all the food I've offered her weekly. I offered her a rat fuzzy this morning and she totally ignored it, just as I knew she would. I left the rat in her tub. Later on in the evening, I decided to handle her. The moment I put her back into the tub, she went for that rat fuzzy. It sure surprised me!
Hopefully she'll eat on her own again next week. But she looks like a nice full girl now. :)
