    After shed question
Our red tail boa Hades measures right around 7ft. He shed in one piece last night and the shed measures 10ft 3in. I know that the skin can stretch, but that much? Is that normal?

Yes that's normal, they really stretch it out when they are pulling it off. My 4ft boa has a much longer shed when he's done too :)

Some of mine stretch their sheds out around their enclosures and some manage to roll it into a little ball. The ones that are rolled into balls are usually closer to the snakes true length, and the stretched ones are usually way off...

Holy cats! The other night I was laying in bed reading and Matt (the hubs) came running in and he's like, "ANDREA! LOOK AT THIS!" He held up Hades' shed and then ran to the kitchen to measure it. It was so funny. He of course called me out to investigate it with him and admire it's length. It's now folded nicely onto of Hades' cage... in our living room. I think he wants people to ask about it when they come over
