    New Pastel! Thanks Kinra!
So today was the open house at Garrick DeMeyer's breeding facility in Wausau, WI. I was supposed to go and hitch a ride up with Kinra (you are all probably familiar with her, she's is on this site quite a bit and is pretty cool!!) Unfortunately, I couldn't make it. There was a certain female pastel that I wanted. It was top notch. Bright yellow, no orange, heavy blushing...she's an awesome snake! Anyways, I asked Kinra if she could pick me up the female if I got a hold of Garrick beforehand. Well..this was the night before, and I was unable to reach him. Kinra offered to pay for the female for me as long as I paid her back. I guess she couldn't contain herself because she ended up buying another pastel female that was 50% het Caramel! This pastel is very nice, but not quite the looker as the regular pastel. I could tell that Kinra really liked the regular pastel, so I decided to let her have her and I took the possible het. I mean, she drove up there and was nice enough to pick me up a snake, so she gets first pick. It's only fair! :D Besides, I know the quality of snakes Garrick produces, and realize the potential for clean top notch offspring is there. I was planning on using her for my cinnamon to make pewters but now I might have to prove out this little girl first so I know if my pewters will be 50% hets for caramel!!

Here's some pictures of my new pastel 50% het caramel from royal constrictor designs:

I'm glad you like her. Garrick said she was in the top 10% (or top 10, I don't remember) in terms of quality pastels he produced this year. She certainly stood out as the best until he opened the tub for the one you let me keep (will be creating a thread for her in a minute). If you change your mind let me know. As I said, the two I picked up were both ones I'd be happy to have in my collection. :)

Hopefully you can make it to the open house next year. :)

Thanks again! Yes, I love her and had no problem picking her because like you, I'm happy with either one!

Another thing that I really dig about this pastel is the granite look she has, whereas the other one was very clean and solid. A lot of Garrick's pastels have this trait so I'm pretty confident that it will turn out to be genetic.

Good looking Pastel. Garrick is awesome to do business with. Kinra, you might have seen my Clown and Pied male I am paying off from Garrick.
