What size rats to get and how many
So I found someone semi-locally who can order me rat pinkies, fuzzies and pups. They would be $.90- $1.20 each but I wouldn't have to pay shipping. Spock only weighs 64 grams right now but ate both a mouse hopper and fuzzy the other night no problem with the combined weight of 14 grams. I can order however many I want but would get a discount if I order 40+. What should I order? How fast do hatchlings grow? Should I get rat pinkies to start out with? They are only 5-9 grams though. Would I be better off getting a few pinkies but them getting mostly fuzzies?

Start with rat fuzzies, however many you get I'd get half fuzzies and half pups because they grow fast. :)

    +3 :gj:

Fast can be quite the understatement sometimes. With proper feeding (10-15% body weight every 5 days) your little 64g baby can easily tip the scales at 500g at 6 months of age.
