    Tarantula Books
I snagged a copy of The Tarantula Keeper's Guide when Borders was closing. It has become my Bible and I'm reading it at ANY opportunity. What are some other great tarantula (or inverts in general) books that you've found?

Also a picture of the new T hardened up (taken on Halloween of course!):

That is the BEST tarantula book you can get. I have quite a few others but they were mainly just for me to browse through.

It seems incredibly comprehensive. I love it.

That's the only book I've actually trusted. I've looked through a couple others, but I haven't really found one that compares to the TKG.

Well I'm glad I snagged the best book I could for a fraction of it's usual price.

What are other good resources for info? I Google a lot but you can never be sure that the information you're getting is accurate or up-to-date.

I always just ask anything here! There are more than enough very educated and experienced people on the invert forum whom I've really grown to respect immensely. As far as the book, I LOVE it. An employee from the reptile store near me let me borrow his and I've just been reading and flipping through it. I need to buy my own copy, not sure I need anything other than the book and the forum haha.

Sorry babyknees!! :hijackd: just for a sec!!

My boyfriend HATED spiders. To the point where when I was on my way home with one without telling him (bad move on my part...I know...) he demanded...DEMANDED I bring it back. Anyone who knows me...knows you can't demand anything from me. I lived my life just fine before you, I could continue very easily without you lol. After both of us calmed down, he apologized for acting like that over a stupid spider, I apologized for just bringing it home. Now, just last week, he told me I HAD to buy the greenbottle blue I wanted because "how could you turn that down?" haha. Funny how things change. I know he would never want me to be anything other than what I am, and he'd never want to get in the middle of my passion. I think if you explained it that way (without...just...bringing it home lol) then maybe he will open up a little. I started with JUST one, so three (two, now since one died :( ). And my boyfriend is totally okay with it...as long as I don't take them out while he's home :D

Seriously, the book is amazing. I'd say buy a copy of it and learn a bunch of tarantula facts and just interject them into everyday conversation with the boyfriend. I'm trying to wear mine down for another T. :D
