Something concerning? Liquid with feces, no solid urates.

I've had Atlas for just a tad over four months. Other than occasionally trying to bite me, be has been nothing but a pleasure, eats readily, sheds fine, no trouble at all, maybe a tad underweight, but gaining and growing fine considering his previous circumstances. That is until today. We had the power out, just like all over the north east from Saturday night to Monday morning, and it got quite cold for a bit. Atlas had not eaten in three weeks because he was in shed and just took his sweet time shedding, so I wasn't too worried, except that he hadn't pooped since that meal. He has in the past waited to poop, so I didn't think too much of it. Well, I went to check today, and he was in the middle of shedding, having a bit of a tough time probably because of the temperature changes. So I brought him into the bathroom to help, and his skin came off in one piece fine. And then he pooped, but there were no solid urates, only liquid that smells like ammonia and normal looking solids. Then I realized that there is always a lot of liquid with Atlas' bowel movemements and hardly any with my corn snake. There was a very small amount of blood as well, which may have been from tearing at the cloaca from the shed and not having pooped in so long, it was not mixed in, but it was present. Anyway, I am slightly panicked, as I'm sure you can understand.

Anyone know a good reptile vet in the pioneer valley? Also, how worried should I be?

I have a boa that makes such a mess when he poops that half of his aspen, at least, has to be changed. No spot cleaning for that guy! It sounds normal to me too.

Sounds absolutely normal to me. BPs wont always pass solid urinates, but they almost always pass feces and urine when they shed. The blood sounds normal of a shed too. Keep an eye on him for the next little while but I wouldn't worry. Sounds like a healthy movement.

Thanks for the reassurance. It is always gross in his tub, but in the sink right in front of me was too much I guess. I have my corn on aspen, but gave up with Atlas because I could never get all of the pee out and would end up with excess humidity and ammonia smell. Paper towels clean up much easier.

The power has been back on for 3 days now, so I'm going to feed tonight or tomorrow. The poor snakes are probably starving. My corn is pressing himself against the outside of the tub staring at me. Hopefully everyone eats/digests okay after the cold spell.

The worst is my adult females that Drop major loads, Then pisses all over it to liquify it. Such a Nasty Mess and Stinks more
