I live in a two bedroom duplex and have my new additions in the living room and the established ones in one of the bedrooms - the new ones have their own feeding tongs, newspaper, paper towels, etc and we use the guest bathroom for cleaning their items while we use the bathroom in the one bedroom for the established guys.

I have my collection in my living room and my QT stuff in my spare bedroom. I keep the door closed to the spare room to try to keep it as separated as possible. If I didn't have a spare room I would QT in my bedroom. You just want to keep them as far apart as possible. If you have to QT in the same room keep them on opposite sides and be really careful about what you do. The only perfect way to QT is to do so in a different location/building so they have different air supplies, but that's not really possible for a lot of people so we have to do the best that we can.
