I don't think my bp is gaining proper weight
I bought my male spider about 6-7 mo he was probably 3mo old when i got him around 90g, he's only 169g now, I feed him a petsmart mouse once a week, sometimes he'll refuse so I'd say he eats 3x a month, is that enough weight on him? I figured he'd be about 200g by now

Can you post some pictures? It sounds like he might be a little small, but pictures will help. They all grow at different rates. Have you ever had a fecal exam done?

My 3 month old weighs that much and she just started to eat 2 adult mice on her last feed. But even tho she is a female and yours is male it still seems quite small for 6 months.

Just weighed her and she is post shed and dookie and was exactly 169.

Get a fecal. This will let ya know if its a patasite issue. Otherwise id get it on rats asap. There is no correct weight scale that they follow. Some grow faster then others. Its all metabolism

No, he is way behind. At 9-10 months old and male I would expect your ball to be between 400-600 grams. If it were female I would expect 500-800 grams.

What size mouse are you feeding him? Pinkies? Fuzzies? Hoppers? Weanlings? Adults? Jumbos? How much do each mouse actually weigh? 90g for a 3 month old is very small and 6-7 months after that has only gotten to 169g? There is a problem. Some grow slower than others, true, but not that slow. I suspect you are feeding way too small of meals. At 169g your ball should be on rat pups or adult mice once every 5 days.

Agreed. I have a male spider that had some initial feeding issues (ignorant owner). He came back to me at 92g and 2.5 months old in August, and is now ~230g. His half sister hatched a week earlier than him, and is almost 450g.

He doesn't look overly thin, but I would definately get a fecal done on him to make sure there isn't something stunting him growth.

He's not saying that he got him 6-7 months ago but that he is 6-7 months old now.

I think he's about 8mo old @ the oldest, I can't find my records but I feed him 1 mouse from petco 3x a month. Until I can switch to rats should I do 6 mice a month?
