Great Book On Savs, highly recomend

Just read this great little book on Savs. It should be mandatory to at least read this book, if not own it if you have a Savannah (Bosc) Monitor. It is an easy read, meaning it doesn't bog you down with lots of scientific terms. I am quite confident that almost everyone will pick something up from this little jem. It is written by people who have actually studied Savs in their native land as well as bred them in captivity. To top it off it is very reasonably priced. I could not find a copy in Canada so I purchased mine from the Mampam Conservation Society on the web. Highly recomend! :)

That is the best captive husbandry lizard book in print, really a well done piece. It is out of print, has been for some time. Mampam is Dan Bennett, one of the authors. We also have a handful of copies still for sale.

I have tried to convince Daniel to make it an e-book, since a second printing is expensive, but I don't know that the logistics will work for that.

Every lizard keeper should have this book though, regardless of species. Great captive husbandry is similar across most lizard species. Uros, Beardeds, monitors, tegus, this book has great husbandry info to apply to all of them.

Funny as Ravi is Canadian; and a great guy to boot...

I'm having trouble finding a copy for under $60. Has anyone seen it anywhere for less or should I just save up? :)

I ordered mine from Mampam which is associated with Viper Press for $25.
