    Waiting to Breed?
So many questions! I wanted to ask some of the experienced breeders a question about waiting to breed. I picked up Sally my rescue only a week ago. I am holding off on doing anything with her until I am sure she is eating, gaining weight, and happy.

I have the intent to pick up a double gene male come November, either from the show or from a breeder online and was curious about holding off for breeding. I see a lot of people talking about breeding males as small as 450 grams, is this a safe practice? Additionally how would I go about breeding outside the normal season if I decided to hold Sally back until my double gene male was old enough to attempt it?

Is it essentially the same? Put them together 6 months (Just a random figure) down the road like I am putting Bonnie and Clyde together now or would I have to do something special to make them think that the time was right? This is all preperation for the future, I was just curious how I might proceed. Any help would be awesome!
