Baby Beardies on the way.
Hey everybody, Our female citrus copulated with our het. red hypo last friday. So we have been buzzing around here trying to get stuff ready. The incubator is up and running, it's fluctating between 82.9 F and 84.5 F, humidity is holding at 45%. I'm sure the humidity will climb a little once the substrate and eggs are placed in it. I have alay box ready, it's a 20 high tank with ecoearth for a substrate. I also have 2 40 long tanks to split up the offspring once they hatch. I know some of this is a little premature, however, we are very excited and this will be our first clutch of beardie babies. Does anybody else have any advice for us? poosible some thig we have missed or could be done better?
Re: Baby Beardies on the way.
Thankyou, Yes, I know they through multiple clutches. To try help with this so as not to keep her not so stressed out for so long. We only let him copulate with her one time so that she won't be retaining so much semen. I have a friend here in the town where I live that breeds and distributes crickets, so that's not going to be a problem.
This is a pic of the mom, citrus.
