    Where to get new rats?
I have 2 females and was throwing around the idea of getting a third female and maybe a fourth female (just got them a HUGE cage) but I want to get some different color/markings, the only ones I see in the stores around where I live tend to be:
1- solid white with pink eyes
    or
2- brown/black/occasionally tan hooded with ruby eyes

I actually haven't seen many adds on there recently for rats, which is strange. There was a guy that was breeding feeders on there but I never got his info. Plus I want pets, not breeders (wellll maybe in the future) or feeders.

Make a post on craiglist. Contact local snake breeders.

I woulda said CL also... But it seems hard to get females from a breeder now, Or the person wont sell them to you because you want to breed them or feed them... Just my experience..

Lupe, I just sent you a PM with the contact info for a snake breeder in Iowa. Not sure what part of Iowa you're located in but anyway...and also not sure if he raises his own feeders but if not I think he could put you in touch with someone that has rats. I think "Slitherinsisters" on here is from Iowa and she might know of someone out that way. Otherwise I know of a lady in the far northwest corner of Ohio that breeds/sells rats and most every other kind of rodent imaginable but I'm not sure how far of a drive you'd want to make? Anyway, hope that helps and good luck!

I'm in the south west, pretty close to Omaha, NE actually. And I'm not actually going to breed them for feeders, I just have found with the 2 girls I have now I LOVE the little buggers :D

Hahahaha! That works. I was the opposite: I bought mine to start raising my own feeders and am thinking I'm going to keep a few of the dumbos...how many remains to be seen, lol!
