Breeding Schedule

I know most people do the every 3 day schedule, but when do you feed and when do you quit feeding? Also, how many females do you have per male and how do you do the schedule when adding more females? Thanks in advance for replies. :)

I try and stick to 3 days in, 4 days out. During the 4 days is when I try and feed. If breeding a male to multiple females, I just alternate weeks. Three days in with one female, 4 days off, 3 days in with the other female, 4 days off, and so on. Also, try and pair when a low pressure system is moving through your area (rain, snow, etc). It gets them in the mood. :D

I rotate my males through 2 to 5 females (number of females will depends on the age/weight of male). Each male stay with the females for 48 hours once a male as gone to 2 to 3 females he gets a 2 days break during which he is rested and fed.

As long as your snake eat, feed them.

Everyone has their own way but here's what we do. We pair for 3 days with female one then off a day and attempt to feed then 3 days with female two then off a day and attempt to feed etc. We pair males with 2-4 females depending on age of male, size of male, and his overall willingness to breed.

I was thinking about doing it this way but if you are breeding one male to 4 females that's only one time for each female per month.

I like this idea so i can have more pairings in a shorter amount of time. Thank you for the response. :)

I don't breed one male to a lot of females. At least not right now, so this schedule works for me. And it really only takes one time anyway. A different schedule might work better for you though.

I agree that it would work perfect if you don't have multiple females for each male but one is actually more than it sounds. If you have 4 females for the one male that's 2 pair ups per month instead of just one or if there are 2 females that 4 instead of 2. So it really does make more sense to me. 1 pair up per month didn't seem like enough to me and thats why it makes more sense.

I did the one pair up a month deal this past year and it did not work as I had hoped. This year I am cycling a male to 4 females in a 4 day period and giving him 3 days off. More work for me but each female will see the male 4 times per month. If locks run longer than 1 day he will stay put and someone will miss out for the week.

Thats a very good idea as well im definitely going to keep that in mind. :)
