has anyone ACTUALLY seen this happen?
    http://i972.photobucket.com/albums/a.../snakeself.jpg

i see pictures like this all the time and i always wonder if theyre real or not. ive seen corns, boas, and kings in the pics. i figure that IF it is real, the snakes tail got in the way while swallowing a mouse and its feeding response kept going or something like that, ever seen it in person?

Kings eat other snakes. I'd hazard a guess that it is more likely it thought its other tail was a snake than any other explaination. Who knows though?

Nope, but in an episode of Snakebytes, Brian said after producing thousands of kingsnakes, he's seen it a few times.

Yeah, that can happen with Kingsnakes or other snake eaters.
It's a very real risk for kings kept in too small of an enclosure.

    Here's an article about another.

Jeff Ronne recently had a photo of a boa doing this, and it actually was dead at the time of the photo.

This photo is Jeff Ronne's, taken from his facebook.

It's a never ending loop snake. On a serious note that would suck

I've seen an overzealous cornsnake go for his tail at one point during feeding. He got a little too excited, but let go and stopped after I blocked his tail with my hand so he couldn't go any further. This same corn had previous tried to swallow my pinky finger.
