    First BP, first feeding
I just got my first BP on the 22 at a herp show in Cullman, Alabama(it wasn't even listed on reptilechannel) and decided to feed her today. I thought they were hard to feed! Anyway, I put her in a large critter keeper with her coconut hide in it and wiggled a thawed pinkie in her face and she immediately lunged at it! I was expecting a challenge so I only thawed one, but after seeing that I gave her another. Next week I'll give her a fuzzie.

    Hi,

The size of prey they can take will surprise you. :)

What weight was your snake? I'd say it's fairly possible they could take a small half grown mouse every 5 days without problems. :gj:

And welcome to the world of BP's. :salute:

she is a baby, I forgot to ask her weight, I should get a gram scale. She is at least big enough to eat a fuzzie, but I wanted to start small.

    P.S. It's weird watching a snake yawn.

I loved that when my snake was little. It's almost adorable, in a weird way, to see your baby eating.
