They both look great, but don't push them too hard. If they don't get up to weight this season there is always next season. I have a couple that are about the same size as your lesser and I've already decided that I'm going to wait until next year with them. :)

Sorry but if you say you are going to try to get a female up to weight for upcoming season, and she is still 800 grams I highly doubt you know what you are doing.

I have 2010 females 1300 grams and up and I'm still giving them another year to grow up. Don't push your yearlings when you are only thinking about breeding.

The health of your animals is what should concern you most - breeding comes second.

    Greets,

Newbs, Females sexually mature well before the mythical Forum 1500g range.

I had 2 females this year lay before they were 17 months old. All laid big healthy clutches,

800g Female will easily be ready to breed by Jan-Feb. No problems Just keep feeding every 3-4 days weaned rats and watch her grow.

Exactly what I was going to say. Girls will actually start retaining a lot of their food during the season. I personally notice a lot less defication during the season and a lot of building. If she is ready then she will, if not she won't. Pair them up if you feel they are ready and they will decide if they are or not.
