2 hobbies

Patience. All I need is food, shelter, and water. The rest comes from patience and savings. I play guitar, bass, and drums, on top of my reptile obsession. All of which are expensive. Taking the time to save gives me time to research and think about what I actually want and need. It is rare that I regret something I've purchased because of doing so.

I play guitar too, and I must admit that I'm a gear whore... but that's also how I pay for my stuff...lol
I can say that I go thru EASILY 10-25 guitars a year and like 2-8 tube amps, and ALMOST everytime I flip gear I get some cash... idk it works wonders for me

Yes, selling items that aren't heavily used pays for a lot of my new wants.

Dang man, and I thought I was bad. I used to swap a lot of gear too, but nowhere near that much. Now I prefer to keep my rig simple. My main rig hasn't really changed in 5-6 years. ESP LTD EX-400BD through a block letter Peavey 5150 on top of a Peavey XXX 4-12 cab. Boss MT-2 up front with a Boss RV-5 and Boss GE-7 in the effects loop. Simple, yet very effective. For around the home I usually use a Roland Cube 30X because I'm sure you understand how ungodly loud 5150's are. :D

Last week I traded my 7 string and sold my Tele
