Illinois' "Dangerous Animals" specifications
I am aware of the "any constrictor 6 feet or longer in length is classified as a 'Dangerous Animal' and therefore cannot be kept by general public" but what is the permit or paperwork needed to keep an animal like that in the state of Illinois?
Re: Illinois' "Dangerous Animals" specifications
Unless they changed the law since 2010. 15FT is the legal limit.

Over 15 Ft cannot be kept. PERIOD. There are no exemptions documented.

Ouch...I know multiple people who own snakes over 15 feet. Well, not as a "friend" but I do talk to them some times, I don't see why we have to keep suffering for mistakes others made, if my burmese were a female I'd most likely have to give her up Because of this law. Same goes for a reticulated python. I can see the law against venomous reptiles, but constrictors should be excluded. But, to be honest it wouldn't surprise me if Florida were to ban ball pythons in the distant future as well saying, "they could easily kill and consume and young child!" Well, I'm Done ranting....LOL
