    Change it attitude/temperament
Is it common for a normally docile snake to become kinda grumpy/pissy??

I've had this snake for 3 years - she was my first ever snake. She is a normal bp weighing about 1800 grams.

Nothing has changed in your tub but lately she is sorta pissy - she calms down after I get her out of the tub but she goes into striking mode when I open her tub lately - this is soooo unlike her.

Just curious if this is common - will it pass or do I need to be concerned.

    Thanks for your help.

One of my females does the same thing this time of year. My guess is it's the winter temps/changes in the weather. I know I get pissy when the snow hits, lol! :D

She's telling you it's feed up time for breeding, whether you're breeding her or not, it's what the big girls do this time of year.
I have numerous large females lunging at food right now, if you're breeding her feed her well, if not just be careful getting her out of her home :P

Glad to hear that it is nothing to worry about. I do not breed her. Should I just keep her on her once weekly feeding schedule correct??

I will definitely use more care when opening her tub. I was shocked to see my girl act like this - she is usually very sweet. She even went as far as to hiss at me - lol.
