    No more assist feeding! ^_^
After 6 long months of assist feeding my butter ball python, she finally ate on her own. I fed her a live weanling rat.

I bought her and a female yellow belly from Priceless Pythons on March 7th 2011. They were both hatched late 2010. They had mites when I bought them, but I got rid of them with Prevent a Mite. Good stuff by the way!!!:gj:

I thought the mites were the reason for them to go off feed. But they continued to fast for over 2 months. They were also losing weight and size so I had to assist feed them. The Yellow Belly ate for me after a few try but the butter would not eat anything. Assist feeding was the last resort, I swear! It was so stressful for her and me. It took so much time to get her to eat. I was planning to give up, but not anymore. I hope she will continue to eat on her own. Wish me luck! ^_^

Good luck! So glad she ate for you!

I felt stressed after 3 weeks of mine not eating, I can't imagine 6 months! Hopefully this awesomeness continues :gj:
