my bp is a escape artist

My 3 month old ball python is a escape artist , He has gotten out 3 times, who else has a escape artist? And how many times have they gotten out? I have had to instal 8 lock clips for the top of my tank

8? jeez, mine isnt that bad, but he has gotten out probably once or twice a year, but all i have is a book on each side of the lid

You should really think about getting a locking top, ive never used those lock clips because ive heard they are kind of iffy. All snake enclosures need to be 100% escape proof imo. If you cant do anything to change your enclosure, I would suggest at least putting some textbooks on top of ur cage (if its a screen top you should have most of it covered anyways) Good luck!

The screen top is covered up just only the part with heat lamp , shes not getting out any more, im shure of it that lid aint coming of now

The funny thing is every time she gets out she goes straight to my pillow on the bed

mine always goes in the gap between my bed and heater lol, thats really the only place ive ever seen him, its a real long 2x2 hole

I used to have one years ago that always managed to escape despite having a locking lid with bricks on top too. I could never figure out how she managed to escape. At least she always went to the same place.... always in my closet in a box of books or in a shoe in the closet. As soon as we discovered her missing it would take less than a minute to find her lol
