    Question About Pairing Up
Hey guys! So my first attempt to feed Bonnie and Clyde yesterday was a total success. Both ate and seem happier for it. When I'd gotten advice before everyone said to wait till after their first feed, then pair them a couple days later. So my original idea was that if they ate Friday I would reintroduce them to one another on Monday.

So before I do so I had a couple quick questions to make sure that my plans are all okay. I am not going to clean Bonnie's tub until after they are done locking or at least being together, since in another post I saw somebody mention that a dirty tub can be like candy for the boys. I planned to take her hide out, however, so only the water dish is in the 41 qt tub. Then leave them to their peace, only checking when necessary, until Wednesday.

Does that all sound okay? Is there anything I am forgetting?

This sounds right according to what I've been reading. I was told to take the hides out and just leave the water bowl so that they don't get distracted. Keep an eye on them, I also read that if they lock in the first day (or first couple hours in my case) you should remove the male after a successful lock even if it hasn't been three days. Then you wait another three days and re-introduce (whether its the same male or a different one).

sounds good to me. I do it the same way unless the male has been threw a lot of girls. Then I may rest him an extra few days and give him another meal and then start pairing again.

I take the water bowl out during breeding, it will just be a breeding ground for bacteria with them both in there mucking it up
