temp help.

I have a glass tank my temp on the hot spot is 90. My temp on cool side has dropped to 73 with the cold front coming through fl. This is first time I have had issue because I turned of ac and open window. I am using heat light only atm on hot spot. waiting on thermostat in mail for uth.

I would start by closing that window. So, you do have the UTH, correct? Can you afford to go and get a lamp dimmer for the UTH until the thermostat arrives? 73 is a tad chilly for the cold side.

yeah have a uth. lowes or homedepot should have lamp dimmers right?

Lowes has lamp dimmers. They are like $10 or $11.

Also try to protect from heat loss try insulating the sides and top and bottom of the tank just to see how effective it is you can use towels or blankets for now and if it works well you can find a more permeant solution. Don't catch anything on fire with the heat lamp...
