Little feeding accident

Hello,
My BP did shed 2 days ago and i just fed him yesterday.. Today, i noticed a little wound on his scale, i think he got bit by the feeder. It is a very tiny scar though, should i be worried about it and apply some treatment or just leave him be?

I would just give it a little antibiotic ointment and not worry it should go away in the next shed or 2:)

That wound doesn't look bad at all. As was already stated, it should clear up after a few sheds.

ya he's fine i wouldn't worry about it. take this as a reason to think about switching to live. its why i did ;)

This is also why if I need to feed live, I feed live chicks as opposed to live rodents. Nasty little buggers if they get snatched in the wrong spot and manage to return a bite.

Also where I am, acquiring feeder rats are next to impossible. ao chicks are the best alternative for me.

Mine got a huge nasty looking gash on his neck a couple weeks ago. He shed recently and it's mostly gone! I think your baby will be just fine. I put just the bittiest dab of (NO pain reliever) neosporin on him until his shed.

Feeding live WILL result in bites at some point. All of my BP's are fed live and all of them have gray scaring on them. Most of the scars dissipate over a few sheds - its nothing to worry about. The only time you should really start to worry is if you notice blood and/ or you notice an infection starting. But as long as you keep your enclosure clean most bites will heal fine on their own.
