I recently hatched a desert clutch and didn't think much of it until I noticed something funny on one of their bellies. As I started comparing the clutch of five deserts, three of them had to varying degrees some belly marks that transferred from the mother. I looked through the other four clutches and none had these traits.
I am curious to know if anyone else has had something like this happen to them? or could offer a likely reason as to why this occured. Do you think this is worth holding back to play around with? I had originally thought that maybe it could indicate that maybe the snake was het for something, but the more I look I am not so sure.
Any input you may have is greatly appreciated.
