Should I try to feed 2 Rat Pups?
    Hey!

I was wondering if I should try to give 2 rat pups to Volvagia on next feeding. The last 2-3 times I have fed her, she kinda looks to me like: Is there any more food? and she roams in her tank for like 10-20 mins and then goes to her hide.
and she has been VERY active in this last week, like going out of her hide way more than before, and I see her trying to find a way out... And I wonder if she's hungry, because she shouldn't be stressed (the husbandry is spot on)...

    You guys tell me.

oh, she is 121g (born in July) right now, those pups are in the 12-17g range, and I feed every Friday (out of convenience )

rule of thumb...10% of her body weight would be 12g.

I would say one is just perfect for now. You dont want to overfeed.

Weigh her again in about a month or two and by then she should be able to just graduate to a larger meal.

My opinion only... I would give it a try. See what happens. I have two adult females that look at me the way you described after they have been fed. Sometimes they take another rat and sometimes they don't. I let them decide if they want to eat another.

If your going to feed more often definetly dont feed more.

once a week should be a meal like your feeding.
If you want to go every 5 days I would feed even smaller prey, maybe a few grams lighter IMO.

    I would feed 10% every 5 days, or 15% every 7.

12-17g is not a pup, its a Fuzzy.

Fuzzys 8-24g or when eyes open
    Pups 25-35g
    Wean 36-50g
    Small 51-80
    Med 80-110g

I feed hatchlings 15g fuzzie rats till their 200g. Then move to pups till their 400g then to wean rats till their able to take a small rat. And i feed hatchlings every 3 days till on small rats, where they join the adults on the 5 day schedule.
