    power went out!
I got a text when I was at work that the power went out and I nearly flipped my
s:snake::snake::snake: Rememberd LGray's advice about the handwarmers when she lost power durin a hurricane and bought a 200 pack. When I got home pickles was out of his hide which i knew was NOT a good thing. I wrapped him around my neck cuz I, personally, was boiling hot due to my stress and he wrapped himself around me while i started smackin hand warmers. However by the time the first hand warmer started warming up thank GOD the power went back on and pickles is now back in his tub, however he hasn't gone inside his hide fully, he's looking around. That's just stress from what just happened right?

oh he's back fully inside his hide now, tails just poking out. Sorry folks, just a minor heart attack. Great way for a brand new snake owner to start out her snake life!

I'm sorry for the scare, but you probably over reacted a tad. :P Depending on how cold it is in your house, your snake should be fine at room temperature for a few hours. The hand warmer is a good idea, but just be careful that your snake doesn't come into contact with it. Hand warmers can get VERY hot and could burn or even kill your snake if it gets too warm. If you do use them, try to wrap it in a towel and keep a close eye on your snake.
