Just get a basic Herpstat Proportional Thermostat...that will be plenty for a while. I love Herpstats

The basic Herpstat http://www.spyderrobotics.com/store/...f652612a595a43 will work just fine, if you plan to breed in the future and drop temps than I would suggest the Herpstat ND http://www.spyderrobotics.com/store/...&products_id=4

You can definitely plug in a UTH into the basic herpstat. This is the exact setup I use as well.

You want to be wary of plugging in heat lamps into herpstats tho, Im not sure if thats what they were meant for. Radiant heat panels are ok for herpstat as well.

    Cheers and good luck
Like someone said, you only need the basic herpstat, it will be more than enough, unless you plan on breeding.

If you are looking at a second snake and are not likely to run a rack I'd not look at the basic model but at the herpstatII or pro. The II will run two probes on completely different enclosures the pro has 4 probes and will also do lighting as well and it gives you room to move later.

I agree with Kitedemon, better to purchase one that will handle up to four seperate enclosures then to buy 2 for 2 seperate enclosures.I have 2 basic Herpstats ND and wish I had just sprung for the pro in the begining. Oh well I plan to pick one up after I get rid of an offspring or two this spring. Best of luck.
