    Articles SUPPORTING exotic pet ownership?
Do you know of any? I'm trying to write a research paper for my English class on whether or not exotic pets should be legal. Obviously, I'm gonna try to write that they should. But because school is stupid, I need statistics and quotes to prove my point, not just basic logic and common sense.

I've found about a dozen articles on exotic pets and invasive species, but most of them are, of course, talking about how dangerous they are to humans, other pets, and ecosystems. I've been able to pull a few quotes out of each that I can use to argue the opposite, but it'd be nice to have a few I didn't have to mess with at all. I could also use sources that have statistics showing that exotic animals are not that dangerous.

So do you guys know any? Unfortunately they have to be from a "scholarly" source, not just some random website.

I tried looking for the speech that was given at the hearing for HR 669 but I can't seem to find it.

    Help, please!

    Coils
Wow, that's a good question. I honestly can't find anything SUPPORTING exotic pets. It's one thing to own a harmless snake or a bird, but exotic pets covers a wide variety of animals. Even tigers and things like alligators.

I don't really see these being SAFE animals to keep, so you probably wont find much support that is "scholarly" about them, especially with the government already trying to ban a lot of things and the issues in Florida with invasive species.
