    Humidity and shedding Suggestions?
I have 8 ball pythons in a rack on paper towels and a water bowl in each tub. I am having problems with humidity and shedding. Should I get a humidifier and set it to a certain humidity or is there a better way. I am looking forward to hearing some suggestions from the experts!

I assume that you are looking for higher humidity because you mentioned a humidifier. dude tubs are great for holding humidity!

did you make too many holes?
what is the air flow like in the room?
change the substrate to repti bark or cypress, etc.

Tubs need humidity in them in the first place using a snakes exhaled breath to drive humidity is a BAD idea.

Paper products are hydroscopic. They will pull moisture from the air and lock it in the fibres, just like the ads for paper towels say it does. Ditch the paper towels and switch to something that holds and releases water like cyprus, meluccia, or a coco product. That might resolve the humidity issues. A humidifier also will work that is basically what I do.

If youre using belly heat and having humidity probs ,mist the back of the bins during shed and you should have no problems using papertowels

Will cypress or other bedding cause breedinging problems though? I heard it can get stuck in the males hemipenes. And it seems like big breeders use paper. If I go the humidifier route what should I keep the humidity at?
