my jaw just hit the floor

AND I mean it I am about to order some shipping boxes for shipping out the recent rescued snakes I am been to told to find homes for ( due ot a snappy carpet ) and I was shocked it costing me more to ship a single box than it cost to buy the box. My jaw actually dropped wide open. I gonigo t email Robin and see if they got a standard mail to send it cause I can't see paying 12 bucks to ship a 6 dollar box via fed ex :rolleye2: specially when i don't need it until beginning ov november.

Shipping is always one of those costs that people don't realize is rather steep. The shipping itself is the worst, plus the cost of getting the box, the cost of the box...

you dont need to order the box from anyone. just go and get a box and then get a sheet of styrofoam 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch thick and cut it yourself. make sure the box is a sturdy one and not some flimsy crap.

Or go to your vet and ask for one of the styrofoam lined shipping boxes they recieve their drug shipments in. I get a lot of them from my vet, and I've asked at pharmacies as well. That's free AND recycling. The drugs are all sealed and contained, so you won't have to worry about contamination. And those boxes are way sturdier than a box with seperate panels of styrofoam, which is sturdy itself.

Its always best when buying boxes in bulk to make it worth it.

As are most inexpensive items. I would do what the others have suggested and find a box you can reuse.

Or contact a local shop or breeder that ships and see if you can buy some of their supplies.

I think I will ask the pharmacy today since mom got a med to be refilled. i wasjust shocked that the shipping is more than the box, and I only need the one box, but i might order a couple just to have on hand for later lol.

I hold on to boxes that stuff come to me in..... worked so far.... i will eventually have to start buying some 7x7x6 to ship out babies but so far saving boxes has saved me alot of money

I just bought a bunch of shipping boxes, bags, heat packs, etc to replenish supplies from boamaster and i only paid like 12 bucks on the whole order. It pays to buy in bulk.
