When to feed my newbie

Hey everyone, hope all is going well!
So my new bp is settling in great! He did a little exploring when I put him in his tub yesterday, which I was told was a sign of stress, but he's been in his hide ever since. I just checked on him and he's a good level of warm (i was really worried he was gonna be cold). Now my question is, when should i feed him? His previous owner said he was a fantastic eater but, as it's come to my understanding, I shouldn't feed right away with him due to new environment, etc. Any thoughts?
He'll be fed a f/t rat pup eventually.

The usual recommendation is 3-5 days. You can find a lot of debate on that if you search, so it's basically what works for you.

Not to sidetrack, but what's a "good level of warm"?

i try to offer my new ball pythons food the day i get them as i dont really know when there last feed was but most people say wait 5-7 days to let them settle in if ur snake is exploring i think thats a good sign not bad there just exploring there new suroundings

I always wait at lest 3 days usually 7 days before I handle or feed :D

I would have to say that unless you got a snake that was a rescue, or was very clearly underfed, I would just wait the 5-7 to let them settle in and get used to being there and also to feel safe so that their eating experience will be a pleasent one for both them and you. Then again, on the other hand, you could luck out and get a perfectly healthy, happy snake, who is just ravenous and wants to eat right away. haha
