    ok so this may sound weird and no im not digging a grave lol but yesterday i dug for 3 hours a giant hole by shovel 10 feet long 6 feet wide and a foot deep well today i went back to dig its now down 4 feet....im a fast digger lol anyway i got inside sat down and the pain hit me omg i could not get up my back hurt so bad i put some pain away stuff it felt like it was freezing then i layed back on a hot rice pack anyways....what should i do since i have to walk around 5 hours tomorrow? by the way the really really cold stuff did NOT help......its my lower back

    A sharp sudden pain sounds like a nerve thing who knows but happening suddenly it makes sense I am hyper aware of things like that as I have nerve pain sometimes. My advise is don't. get to a doctor.

    I agree...Sounds like a nerve. Mine goes out once in a while and it sucks. Just take it easy on it for a while.

    As funny as it sounds...I do situps when mine starts to hurt and it will usually go away after a few days. I think the situps stregthen the support muscles and take some of the pressure off of the nerve. Not necessarily a recommendation, but it has worked for me on several occasions.

    It sounds like your sciatic nerve. Anti-inflammatory meds will help, ibuprofen. And rest.

    I did the same thing and those icy hot patches along with muscle relaxers helped but took a few days to be totally fixed

    yes you guys were right lol it was a nerve i have to take anti flammatory pills for a few days Im not allowed to start my new job for a couple days either.....I think it sucks though because I really want to start at the nursing home but whatever
