    Nice Pastel?
Hi there, I picked up my first morph today at the Seattle Reptile Show and I believe the breeder when they tell me he is a pastel, but he is very unusual for a pastel. All tan and peachy instead of yellowish like most I've seen.

Is it just me or is this an especially nice pastel? or is not just a pastel? The breeders record card says he came from a Pastel het hypo sire and a het hypo dame.

I'm seeing pastel there. Pastels come in different shades and patterns like normals do, but in the end they're still pastels or still normals. I think he'c cute and I like the pattern and blushing, but personally I go for more yellow and bright pastels over darker tanner ones.

That looks like a pastel to me, but I have a feeling that he will get darker as he gets older.

WELCOME TO BP NET!!! Pastels don't show their full color until they shed about 5 times. He is a little dark but only time will tell! He has a faded head like a Pastel has. He should also have green eyes! He does have some nice blushing and has a really nice pattern. That pairing would also make him 66% Het Hypo! Enjoy your new friend! Warning: Ball Pythons are very addicting and you will want more!

He looks like a pastel, especially nice pastels are very very yellow and very little to no orange though. He does have nice light colors though and a cool pattern :gj:

Thanks guys. I have a normal as well, but this is my first morph.

You are right, they are addicting. I already have plans to invest in a few more at the beginning of next year for later breeding.
