    Eddie ran away!
when i got home this morning at 7 i got out of my work clothes then went and checked on the snakes like i always do. as soon as i walk into the closet i notice that Eddies cage is open about an inch! i start freaking out and do a quick once over before i went and woke my roommate up to see if he knew wat happened. he didnt. he started freaking out too. so i start looking all over the closet moving everything and everyone but cant find him. less then a minute after all the excitement starts, my roommate yells that he found him. silly lil bugger was hiding on the floor behind my bed. when he was handed to me he was freezing cold and a little dirty on the head but otherwise looked perfectly fine and my roommate said thank god for bp.net and everyone telling where and how to look.

now i dont really understand how he pushed his tob out because it sits almost an inch back from the end of the rack and i know that when i checked on them before i left for work 12 hrs before that, all the tubs were closed and everyone looked happy. roommate said he didnt mess with them last nite or at all when its nite so i really dont understand how he got out as he was the only one here last nite.

this is the first time one of them has ever gotten out and its really got my anxious as i know that vent in my room isnt closed and i would probably have lost him if he had gotten in there.

I'm glad that you found him. Have you thought about using something to block the tubs in so they can't slide out?

yea i am seriously considering it now. im in the process of making more racks and blockage of some sort is definitely being put in.

We had an escapee yesterday too. We found that our tubs were pushing out the back just a little. Is the back of your rack open?

Another option: Our big girl could use leverage from the hide to slide her tub forward enough to get an opening big enough for her head and then could get out as well.
