Dwarf Rat or What
This guy is 2-2.5 months old and only about the weight of a 30g rat pup. Very energetic, eating food and still nursing. Slowly gaining weight each week. But Idk. Never seen this before for them to be this small.
His belly and colon look normal, and does have big eyes. From what i can see both eyes are normal, just bigger, and not blind from either.
Hes very friendly too and loves being held and chased in the tub. One reason ive kept him with nursing females.
his left eye is flash sensitive ive noticed. And its a double rex dumbo

Dont think i asked for you to puts your comments forth if you didnt like them. Double rexs are sought after trait in rats as well as rexs.

I can't answer dwarf or not.. I have a true hairless girl that has stayed half the size of my smallest normal female, and she does not seem to be growing any more.
I am curious about the left eye though. Is there an issue with it, or is it bc of the curly double rex hairs at the face?

Not sure, his eyes are fine, When held he has both eyes open at all time when playing and so forthh. When ever i take a picture, left eye closes. I keep an eye on it as much as possible, and theres no fluids coming from either eye or nose. So all seems fine there.

My hairless (double rex) girls always seemed to stay small. Partly just because they're lacking fur so they automatically seem smaller/skinnier (and their litter mate with fur is unusually fluffy, which doesn't help lol), and I've also noticed that they just seem to grow a bit more slowly. As long as he acts, eats, and poops normally I wouldn't worry though, and its great that he's such a friendly guy :D

Trust me i have close to 20 double rex females breeding all around 300g. This guy is smaller than 3 week old rats. By holding him im guessing 30g max on the weight.
Heres a video of him i just made.

Holy cow! he's way smaller than the other pictures made him seem. lol. My girl is twice his size.. which is still half the size of my smaller girls =P I hope he's good and healthy. I wonder if any of the girls would even let him breed at that size? haha.

Not gonna breed him as i got some stellar siamese rex males breeding. Be just a pet i can play with.
