    Anyone breed their own rats?
Does anyone breed their own rats? I only have one BP right now, 4 months old and about 18 inches long "I hope this is normal and not small". The pet stores around here only get a few rat fuzzies a week which are frozen/thawed, and they are REALLY expensive for what they are. Is it hard and expensive to breed your own feeders?

Not hard, nor expensive depending on your needs.

One snake is really not worth starting your own trio. Yo would be better off finding a rat breeder in your area to work a deal out with.;)

Breeding your own rats sure is fun though! With only one bp, you would have to be comfortable with freezing your own as you would be over run in a few months.

For one snake you're getting off cheaper buying the f/t.. My suggestion to safe even more money is to buy then in bulk from a place like micedirect or rodentpro..you can buy 6 months worth at a time and be golden..

Breeding your own would cost you about 40-50.00 a month at the least.
