Probably hatched around may or june.
It depends how well it was fed though too. Being as how its a pet store I doubt it got fed once a week.

when you buy from unreliable places at shows, they tend to be underweight. my bp was hatched in march. i bought her in june at 72 grams.
she is now 133g and about 2 ft long. shes perfectly plump in the belly.

i wouldnt be concerned with your bp make sure your offering big enough food.

    what do you feed?

That is very small for a 7 month old ball python! We have a couple June hatchlings that hatched in the 70g range (I forget the exact weights) and they are pushing 400 grams right now. Our females usually reach close to 1,000g in their first year and males usually 500g or better.

A lot of pet stores will lie or forge feeding schedules. Sad, but true. As has been said, pics would help greatly. Even with pics all we can offer are guesses. I've seen a lot of very underweight balls from pet stores. With proper feeding I would expect a 156g ball to be about 2 months old, however I've seen a lot in pet stores/people who do not feed properly and it might be 8-9 months old and the same weight.

That said, ditch the mice! Rats are far more appropriate for ball pythons and a even the smallest hatchlings can eat appropriately sized rats. At 156 grams your ball should be on large rat fuzzies to rat pups (rats that have just opened their eyes), or if it helps 15-20ish gram rats. Do it while your ball is young because balls are stubborn and as they get older it get harder to make the switch. Anyone here will tell you it is a pain in the butt to feed an adult ball python 4-5 or more adult mice in a feeding. Also feeding mice you won't notice as good of growth and their potential might be stunted. Switching to rats is win-win any way you slice it.
