    So from what I understand, someone in Japan created a software the sings songs. The songs became so popular that a concert was demanded. And this was the result. A real band with a holographic anime singer.

    How is that any different from our own "Gorrilaz". For years they never actually went public and for shows they still used the animations used in the videos like this "performance".

    Couple of differences.

    • The singer is a computer. That is not a real voice. Only the onstage band is real.
    • This is a hologram, not a 2D drawing. I understand that it's on a semi transparent screen but from all angles I could see it looked like a 3D anime girl on the stage.
