Heating, I have an uth and keep the temps 105-110 on the glass with a 1/2" or so of sand and a piece of plexi resting on the sand he likes to hide under. There is nothing on the cool side. I prefer sand and could be a big debate but I keep it clean!
Thanks I was thinking if an UTH was the way to go to move the central wooden brace on the stand and put a central heat pad to cover both sides at once so the cooler side is at each end plus once divided it would give each snake 24" x 13' x 12 "... The tank has two big drilled holes in the back where the previous owner was going to plumb in filters for fish... so I was thinking of fitting vents over each hole with silicon... but for $20 I wasnt gonna complain :gj:
