I've been messing with something similar at http://fold.it for some weeks now. I must say, I am not at all good at it.

being good at it just means you have way to much extra hardware and/or a really over powered workstation to do it with.

Either way i still enjoy doing it and run it on my home PC and my work PC. I use to do it all the time and had decent stats however i stopped doing it for a while. Needless to say i am starting back up again.

    I'm SO lost.

I looked at the link...maybe I didn't read deep enough? But it seems to me that you just sign up and volunteer some of your computer's processing power to add to some giant world-linked super-computer that can then solve giant problems???

Where does a "team" come in? What is there to be "good" at? I don't get it.

there isnt really anything to be good at other then the amount of work that gets done by your CPU so its completely a per computer thing. but you can create a team(i will handle that) and really its just saying that here is a group of people running this and will group all of our stats together.

Sign me up, I have 6 pcs and one server I will be loading it on. But don't know how to setup the group thing.

Ok got the team thing down, all I need is the team number.

Since there was none I created the team ball-pythons.net with number 211947.

Please use this number in your client setup.

Count me in, let me do inventory and see what I can offer. I should have at least a half dozen computers I can add to the group.
