Busted BP deal...

I can't really complain. The guy I was working with turned over most of his collection to me at an unbelievable price. I was working to buy a few of his pastel hatchlings and was super excited to get them. Found out this morning he's decided to keep them. I'm super bummed. :tears:

What was your most upsetting busted deal?

a breeding pair of normals with everything included for FREE on craigslist, i emailed the guy within an hour of him posting it and he said they were gone:( i know this isnt the same as your deal, but i super excited because i really want to do my first breed, i pretty much went from :dance: to :tears:

I'm sorry to hear about the deal that went south.

Once a father posted on craigslist his son bought a bumble bee BP. He was pissed that he brought a snake into his house without permission. He knew the snake was worth a lot but he was only charging $80 with tank! By the time I emailed him, he had well over twenty emails. I guess some guy drove over 3 hours to pick it up. Lucky fella!

I once saw an albino female on CL for $200, I jumped into my car to get it, only to learn he had stolen it. Thankfully he was caught and the snake was returned. Perfect example of "too good to be true"

On the plus side, I'll have more cash for the Hamburg, PA expo this weekend. :D

Honestly, this was a good guy who just changed his mind; that's why I'm just really bummed, and not super ticked off.

I haven't actually had any yet, lol. I buy my snakes from expos or websites. The only snake I ever picked up from a classified ad was my rescued normal.

Either that or I have forgotten about them. :confused:

i missed out on a caramel albino pied male for 3,500 pounds by about 10mins from a local breeder was well bummed really wanted one lol:P

Every DEAL is the worst deal ever for me right now XDD

I was surfing CL for an old incubator last night and saw an ad with a guy getting rid of his entire collection. He didnt have much I wanted, but he was letting his adult female pastel go for $40! I havent been to a reptile show yet, but all the prices ive seen for female pastels have been like $200 if Im remembering correctly. Hell I paid 80 for my Normal, but that was a pet store so it was naturally more expensive.

But bottom line, I cant have more than one snake until I move. (Hopefully by February) So any time I see a great deal I would normally jump on I just die a little inside. XP
