Ok, I give up. How do you indentify a fire morph?
The fire morph is one that has always confused me. To me they just look like light normals. I searched google and I couldn't find anything useful. Mostly just the obvious that they are the visual het form of a black eyed leucistic. What are the defining characteristics of a fire? How can you tell the difference between a light normal and a fire without breeding them?

    Thanks in advance! :gj:

I'd like to know as well, they look like light normals to me too. I have a hard time with vanillas also.

Most of them have faded heads.

I might not be 100% correct on this, but to me fires appear to have a more creamy colored appearence, head markings and they get lighter as they grow.

I have a very light colored normal and a new fire. They look completely different to me. Since one is in quarantine and the other isn't, here are pictures of each.

I have seen a lot of fires lately that just don't scream fire to me, so I don't really know how to tell a poor quality fire from a normal. If it looks normal I wouldn't buy it, even if it came from a Black eyed lucy breeding.

Yeah, like the fire in that video that TheAnalogue posted with Justin Kobylka in it. To me that just looks like a light normal. I have a female that looks an awful lot like that, has the same clear belly (from what I can tell in the video) and everything.

Now the fire you posted looks completely different from his.

They get lighter and lighter as time goes on so an older Fire will be easier to see than a young one.

Post pictures, it is really easy to distinguish a Fire from a Yellowbelly.
