    Salmonella question
I bought 2 feeder mice, then remembered that I had an hour and 20 min drive home.

So to keep the mouse from dying of heat stroke in the little cardboard box, I opened the box and placed it in a critter keeper sitting in my back seat.

But 2 weeks earlier, I had 2 wild caught, baby red-eared sliders in the critter keeper.

So what is the likelihood that the mice pick up Salmonella from crawling in the critter keeper and passing it to the ball python? Or am I just being overly paranoid?

I wouldn't worry about it. I wouldn't be surprised if the mice already carried it, since almost all species can carry it. I also wouldn't be surprised if your snake already had salmonella, as well.

    Here's an interesting website I found: http://www.triciaswaterdragon.com/salmonella.htm
