    How do I switch?
I need to switch Silas over to f/t but I don't know how. I tried to make it look as alive as I can and I've already tried twice. Should I just keep trying or is there something else I can do.

You could try either offering pre-killed as an intermediate step or just wait him out. Sometimes they will get hungry enough to take f/t just make sure it is warm enough.

All I did was scent the room by heating my thawed rat with a Blow dryer to about 100F checked with a temp gun. Then feed away with a nice zombie dance and BAM my live took F/T first try:rolleyes:

My BP just ate his first f/t the other day :) I just thawed it to room temp then I put it under the CHE lamp which is right on top of the wire cover. It didn't take him long to stick his head out of his hide. He did not seem to know what to do when I dangled it though. I cleared a large area of the aspen bedding off of the floor left the mouse in the middle of that and left him alone for the night. In the am the mouse was gone.
I think it helps if they are hungry. I have only had mine a month and I don't think he was fed enough prior to that. I was feeding him 2 live mice a week.

    Good luck.
