Blood after shed on tail claw
I forget what its exactly called but they are tye little hooks or claws next the universal hole for snakes. And this morning my bp had a full shed when i looked at it the tail area had some blood. So i check him out directly. There is on a bit inder one of the hooks. Could the shed just got stuck and pulled it too muh or could thos be serious?
Re: Blood after shed on tail claw
there was a thread about a snake having blood on it after shedding, and from what i remember everyone said it happens, so like you said im guessing the skin got caught on the spurs (hooks on either side of the cloaca (hole)) and tugged them a bit, or the snake rubbed against something too hard and pulled it that way, but just keep it clean and keep an eye on the area to make sure there are no infections, you could even put neo-sporin (spelling?) on it, but im sure it'll be fine

Not a big deal. It is completely normal.

The tissue around the vent (aka: cloaca, aka: "hole" :P ) is delicate and sometimes tears a little bit during a shed when the old skin pulls away. It's totally normal and isn't a cause for concern. On rare occasions, you'll sometimes see this after a really big poop, too.
