    black lights are very bad for human eyes I would be willing to infer that they would be bad for snakes as well.

    Snakes 'see' heat so anything that gets warm they see as light or so it is guessed anyway. The heat pits they have are connected to the visual part of the brain how exactly the process visual and temperature information is a not exactly known.
