    Proven Breeder Females
Hey guys, I was curious if anyone can tell me in general what a reasonably priced breeder female might go for. I am considering that cinnamon male and the breeder said he could throw in a normal breeder female for an additional 100. Is that a decent price or is it worth waiting till the expo to see if there will be any breeder female morphs? Are there any female morphs of breeding age that sell for less than $500? I was looking over some of the sale ads and didn't see much of anything. Help! lol.

That is a pretty reasonable price for this time of year. Around now a lot of people are beginning to pair and the proven females tend to get a little scarce and subsequently go up in price. I have picked up proven females for 25.00 on RARE occasion but have also seen really big girls go for 275.00 to 300.00 so 100.00 for a proven female this time of year is pretty reasonable IMO. As for breeder morphs that's a crap shoot too. I would say especially this time of year they will be hard to come by for that price. You may find a pastel or spider girl that's breedable but I would think it to be a bit of a long shot. Expos are funny though I have seen animals at all ends of the spectrum. I have seen a male breeder pied for 400.00 and a hatchling spider girl at 350.00!! And that was just this year. That's kind of the fun of the expo I guess it's kind of a gamble. IMO and only my opinion I would say go for the proven girl if she can fit your breeding needs this year. Hope this helps. Sorry to ramble :)

Yes, that's a good price. I just sold four of my proven breeder normals for $150 each.

As for breeding sized morph females - I doubt you'll find any for under $500. They can be used to make combo's and even one combo baby a breeder can make from her would be more than $500 in most cases. So she's worth more to the breeder to keep her.

100 bucks is an average price for an adult girl. But ya want to know when she laid cause if she just laid she wont be ready to breed again till like february march.

    Hmmmm...

I would say for less then 500, your looking at maybe an adult breeder pastel. But even they go for 6-700 dollars sometimes. I would go with more then 5 if your looking for some kind of breeder morph. I mean do you have specific plans? If you want to make cinnamon's a normal female breeder will give you 50/50 odds for cinnamon. Thats the beauty of Co-doms!

Well I am just getting into this. This would literally be my first pair that's old enough to breed. I have a baby spider girl and a baby normal girl already, but they will not be ready to breed for quite some time. I came across the male cinny and thought that 125 was a pretty good price for a proven breeder male who is poss het pied. He said the normal girl was last bred this past season, she should be ready to go by the time the season starts with good feeding. That was his direct quote lol.

Well he said she would be ready to go this season, so long as I keep her fed appropriately.

$100 is decent for a breeder. Not much of a deal though. The show is coming up...plenty of pythons to choose from but guarantee of prices.

Maybe I will just wait a little while longer. I am getting a quote done for a rack now, so I may just hold off till the show and see if there is anything exciting there.
